Storage

The storage of materials has a great deal of connection viz-a-viz material procurement, because if storing of goods and materials are not handled in an efficient and orderly manner, confusion would arise thereby putting procurement and requirements in disarray. Similarly, if materials were not stored correctly safety of personnel and life of goods would be impaired.

Material Procurement

Materials procurement has many phases:
1. Ordering goods well in advance specifying dates of receipt.
2. Procuring materials for direct usage, which deals with checks on statistical data of physical stocks, consumption, daily, weekly or monthly requirements and placing orders.
